eSmart iPad Sale 2017
As part of the Walton County School District's eSMART initiative, all students at Loganville High School have been provided an iPad that is checked out through the Media Center. Starting in the 2017-2018 school year, students and teachers will be provided Chromebooks to use for school instruction instead of the iPads.
Since the iPads will no longer be used, the county will be selling them to students who are interested in purchasing them. Here is more information about the sale.

- Students will have the option to purchase the iPads that are checked out to them. They cannot purchase additional iPads, and there are no additional iPads for sale.
- Students can pre-pay for their iPads Monday, May 1 through Monday, May 22.
- iPad Cost: The iPad 2 is $25.00, and the iPad Air is $100.00. If you are not sure what kind of iPad is checked out to your student, you can look at the charging port located on the bottom of the iPad. The iPad Air’s use the smaller lightning cable (less than half an inch). The iPad 2’s use the larger charging cable.
- We encourage students/parents to pay for the iPads through My Payments Plus (the school’s online payment system) at https://www.mypaymentsplus.com. This is the same payment system used in the LHS Cafeteria. For more information about creating a MPP account, CLICK HERE. Payments can also be made in the LHS Media Center by cash or check (made payable to Loganville High School).
- All iPad sales are final. There are no refunds after payments are made.
- The iPads are sold as is.
- If students owe any existing fees for lost, broken or stolen iPads, they will not be able to purchase an iPad. Parents and students would have received a fee notification by email if students owe any iPad related fees.
- On the last day of finals, all of the iPads will be unmanaged and erased to remove the Walton County School District restrictions and management software. Students will be able to take home their iPads that day.

How to Back Up iPad Files
You will need to back-up your iPad files before your iPad is erased at the end of the year.
For Seniors, we suggest they save all of their files to the school Google Drive account. At the end of the school year, they will need to save those files to another location since they will not have access to their school Drive accounts after they graduate. From their school Drive accounts, seniors can save their files to other cloud storage locations like Dropbox, Box, or their own personal Google Drive accounts. Another option would be to log into their school Drive account from a desktop computer and then save those files to a jump drive, DVD or their home computers.
