Frequently Asked Questions

I already own a Chromebook or tablet. Can I use that instead?
Students are required to use the school issued Chromebook.

I changed my mind and want to accept the Usage and Protection Plan. Can I still do that?
An online payment system has been set up for the payment of the UPP.  Parents and guardians can go online to https://www.mypaymentsplus.com to log into an existing account or to register for an account.  This is the same payment system that is used for online meal payment.

I lost my charger. What do I do?
If students have lost, broken, or want a new Chromebook charger, the Media Center sells them for $25.00.

What if my Chromebook is damaged, lost, or stolen?
Students will alert the Media Center staff if an Chromebook is damaged, lost or stolen.

The prices to repair a damage Chromebook or replace a lost or stolen Chromebook vary. If a student paid the UPP, the cost for repair or replacement is less.

Students who do NOT pay for the protection plan will be responsible for the FULL COST of the Chromebook repair or replacement.

Severity of damage and necessity of repair are ultimately determined by the media specialist.

My Chromebook was stolen. What do I do?
Report it to the Media Center immediately. File a police report and bring a copy of the police report to the Media Center. Please remember that submitting a false report to the police is prohibited by law. In addition to the report, students will be responsible for paying the lost Chromebook.
