9th Grade: Freshmen Orientation
* Tuesday, July 28 at 7:00 p.m. * A parent or guardian must accompany any student to sign for the device. Parents or guardians will need a photo ID to sign out the device. * In order to take home the iPads, a payment of $25.00 for the Student Optional Protection Plan (SOPP) is required. This payment can be in the form of cash (exact change please), check (made payable to Loganville High School), or print receipt of online payment (see last bullet for more information). * Once the SOPP has been paid and paperwork completed, students will be issued an iPad, case, and charger. * Siblings in the upper grades will not be allowed to check out their devices on this night. * Freshman Orientation will be quite crowded. Please try to limit the number you will have in attendance by leaving sibling at home if possible. Also please remember to bring a pen. * An online payment system has been set up for the payment of the SOPP. Parents and guardians can go online to https://www.mypaymentsplus.com/default.aspx to log into an existing account or to register for an account. If parents or guardians choose not to pay online, the school will continue to take cash or check for iPad insurance payments. |

Other Important iPad Distribution Information
* Students will be issued a Gumdrop iPad case, but they can purchase their own case if it is comparable in protection to the one provided by the school system. If students purchase their own case, they must bring it to the LHS Media Center for approval. When they bring their new case for approval, they must also return the county issued iPad case to the Media Center.
* Upperclassmen who still owe money for repairs or loss will not be able to take home an iPad until they have cleared their records.
* For upperclassmen: Students will need to locate the iPad chargers they took home over the summer. If students have lost, broke, or want a new charger, the blocks and cables will be sold during Open House and after school begins in the Media Center ($5.00 for the block and $5.00 for the cable).
* Students can use their own device instead of the school issued iPad, but they are responsible for purchasing the apps needed for their classes including Pages, Keynote, iMovie, and Notability.
* Parents and students can submit questions to the iPad Support Forum page. Information concerning those questions will be posted in the forum.
