Loganville High School Media Center

iPads

All WCPS high school students will receive an iPad as part of the eSMART initiative in the classroom.

Important announcements concerning the student iPads:
    1. Only Self Service Apps on the iPads: The only apps that should be on the school issued iPads are school approved apps in the Self Service Mobile app. Even if students see the App Store icon on their iPads, they should not download any non-school apps. To see a current list of approved apps, click on the Self Service Mobile app on the student iPads.
    2. iCloud and iTunes & App Store Signed In With School Account: Students should make sure they are logged into the school iCloud and also the iTunes & App Store on the Settings of their iPads.  Signing in with school login information will ensure the iPad works properly and also help prevent personal information being associated with the school issued iPads.
    3. Charging Student iPads: The Loganville Lowe's has built LHS an iPad charging cart for students to use while they are in the Media Center. Students can also drop off their iPads during any class period, and the Media Center staff will charge their iPads for them.
    4. Updating to iOS 8: Students can now update their iPads to iOS 8. Students will need to make sure they have saved or backed up their important files in case anything happens to the files in the updating process. If students need help updating their iPads, they can stop by the Media Center anytime for assistance.  For more information about iOS 8:  http://ipadapps4school.com/2014/10/08/ios-8-tips-and-tricks-for-teachers-and-student
